Installation review

The first thing I noticed when taking it out of the box, is how cheaply it's made. It reminds me of some of the cheap HiFi equipment from the 80's.
No discete Zone 2 commands. All zone 2 operations are started by sending a 'Zone 2' code, then the regular code that you want zone 2 to do. After a few seconds the receiver returns to accepting commands for the main zone. Not very elegant at all.
I had 8 ohm speakers hooked up for the customer in the main room and 8 ohm speakers hooked up for the customer on their patio. If both zones were on, I could not get very loud with the system before it would shut down into protection (less than half way on volume control for both zones). I tested both sets of speaker hookups with VOM as well as an impedance meter and both sets were fine. Cheap amp.
I would not recommend this amp to anyone. I hear the Newcastle line is much better, I may try one to test out and give a review in the future.
